Instead of getting the right answers, I rather value asking simple questions.
While being inspired by the invisible essence of nature or the its wholeness,
having "stop making thing" as a fundamental concept, the found objects are transformed into things or tools to be used in daily life.
I express the same "stop making thing" idea by icon(s) or its repeat formula on 2D art works.
In recent years, the installation art work called "Manchikyu" (literally meaning "full earth") has become the fundament of my work.
This atomic and broad art piece shows my admiration for the things taking place in nature.
It embraces numerous colors and black/white geometric repeated patterns in the organic outline.
This art piece will be hidden in a box or some sort, and the whole installation art work is completed
when audience peeps the art piece through a hole.
Also I teamed up with Ryuji KAMIYAMA and formed a unit called STRANGE OVER TONES.
We travel to festivals, events and cafes to do live silkscreen printing on almost any things, any materials.
In 2010, I have launched the project called SEAPPLE, with the slogan "small revolution".
It is a T-shirt (apparel) brand uses organically grown cotton as raw material to feel the wealth of our soil directly.
SEAPPLE tries to support for more rich soil at the farms for the future.
